My result Laughing Laughing

You are a Boardroom Biker ...made to take to the road on a Harley! Having reached the top of your career, you’ve earned the right to buy a Harley Davidson to escape the confines of the office. As your weekend escapism, the Harley allows you to get out of the house and onto the open road. Willing to buy branded accessories to accompany your bike, image is everything to you and a Harley is the bike that best reflects this. This is no mid-life crisis; you and your Harley were made for each other!

Your ideal bike : Harley Davidson Road King Classic

I am (it says) a Bank Holiday Biker!...born to ride my touring bike into the sunset! (I wish!) Clap

With the wind in my hair I'm not scared of long distances - further is better for this tourer. (But of course!) Very Happy

Happy to snatch any spare moment to get away from the stresses of work (Dont we all?) Gaah

I enjoy travelling alone or in a group and would love nothing more than to abandon all commitments for a life on the road. (if only!) Cool

Being a creative sort, I'd be happy to modify my bike to make it as comfy as possible for all these long journeys I'm going to have, as biking isn’t a phase for me. (pretty good this huh Rach?)

Did the questionnaire, just for fun, but at least two of the questions I could not answer - I mean who are these "celebrity bikers"? Apart from being rich farts who can indulge themselves on bikes? And why would I want to identify with any of them? Same applies to what I want to get out of my bike - none of the above? or all of the above?

Also, are there absolutely no women celebrity bikers? Maybe not, but if they'd suggested Marianne Faithfull in her role in Girl on a Motorcycle at least that would be no more fictional than the lives we are led to believe these people lead . . .

Anyway, it's nice to know I'm me, and not part of a tribe: in fact, I think that for most of us our bikes are part of an expression of our individuality, so whilst we have things in common with other riders, we don't necessarily want to be part of a homogenised group - no matter how convenient that may be for the insurance underwriting fraternity (oh, cynical me)

For the record, I came out as a "Bank Holiday Biker". Not bad for someone who not only travels to work by bike (as often as possible) but also, at least in part, earns his living on it . . . Sleep
