I was browsing through some film locations earlier and found this

which lists a lot of the main film locations used in Scotland for major movies and television series. Smile These often make for good destinations for biking trips, especially when showing people around.

All the obvious ones are there such as Highlander, Braveheart, Rob Roy, Harry Potter and the 1959 Kenneth More version of John Buchan's The 39 Steps but you'll find a few surprises there also such as From Russia with Love and Mission Impossible II! Cool

I'm always dissapointed though never to see the locations listed for a 1970 Peter O'Toole, Susannah York film some of you might have seen called Brotherly Love (AKA Country Dance) which featured the Bell Library in Perth in some final scenes towards the end of the film and lots of location shots (suppposed to be around Dundee in the movie) but which look fairly familiar as Perthshire countryside (possibly around Kinkell etc?).

Worth a browse though and might stimulate a few ideas for the Spring! Cool

Mike, back to hoary old subject of PBF calendar. I think its a good idea, though frought with problems.not least who gets in,who doesent.an who decides.to take the pressure off the management, what about a gallery of picks to be selected, poss for calendar,or just for our gallery an then have a pole, vote.also noway theres goin to be just 12 pics but maybe
12 main ones,an then others down the bottom.I realy want a pbf calendar
not for my self but to justify my selfish obsession with bikes.
cheers bt...

Very Happy Brilliant Web site. Great idea for runs in the year to come.
A mate and I did a similar thing back in the 80s on our FZ750s.One week we did the Local Hero sites, another we did Highlander and the Holy Grail.
Great fun. Look forward to meeting up for runs Cool

Roll on a real Summer

Trumpet,
I can give you a nice sugarbabes calendar.....I bought it for my daughter Rolling Eyes , cough cough.

lol

It's a bit late for a calendar now, i presume you mean doing sometime during the season in prep for next year!.
Another idea would be to take group photos during the rideouts or group bike photos, there would then be 12 to choose from by tail end of year.
just a thought, i also like the vote idea too, but some folks maybe not have a digital camera or be very good with photos.
its good discussion point though.
