On the way home from a great wee blast up to braemar. with robbie and dave phil and mark, robbies m8s. I clobber a pothole on a lefthander just after a blind crest about 20 miles outside of braemar heading south. Well the Bitch threw me off into the path of an oncomming german couple in a hired peugeot, Danke mine Herr for watching the road and not the view, the bike flipped. and their car stopped it for me, they were unhurt and so am I.after my bounce n slide across the carriageway .got a nasty swollen elbow and knee but other than that i walked away..I'm a bit drowsy due to the meds so ill stick up a couple o pics and STFU..stay safe peeps and thanks to the Lads, for sticking around sorry to mark cos you missed the spectacle, hope you got home ok after your puncture.. looks like i'll be buying a Mille sooner than i thought...

Jeesus Tinbits...be careful out there man. The bike took a fair whack of the damage there. Any idea if it's fixable and how the hell did you get home again! Sad

Glad you're OK though mate.

Feel like having another rant now about those bloody potholes. Tantrum

Glad you're okay after all that............................

But - if that's the pothole in pic # 1 ............. I would hazard that you were looking to use too much of the road in the first place Confused

A good rider might manage to use that area on a race track, but it looks to be a bit dodgy to my eye on the road Sad

or am I wrong?

I'm afraid that i tend to agree with Blackal - may be a misleading angle that the photo was taken at .
Without condeming anyone (Note this is an insurance claim and this is an open forum) what sort of speed was involved here and by the looks of the first photo could it be that the front wheel locked on the gravel ?

Not that this really matters - just glad you walked away .

guys I was well left coz diddn't wanna get flattened by the fat arse of a mobile home lorry etc,I was in the process of picking it up out of a blind righthand crest over to the left.. i made the flip-flop i just didn't see the hole till the front twatted it. then the rear flung me out the seat good job i was over left . i had plenty run-off was in third bout 60ish about to snick up a cog,and she threw me off Evil or Very Mad

Guys..I cant seem to get hold of legoman [davie] and i really need to speak to him especially and any of the other guys that got or gave any details from the police about my off. if any of you guys know his home or mobile phone number i'd appreciate a PM..or if you could let him know I need some details .and hopefully some of the pics he took, My insurance co. as usual dont have a fkin clue, for a start they got the date of the incident as 24.6.07 . and would like an explaination as to why the delay in reporting the incident..well as it happened on 16.7.07 .and i reported it on the next day..
and mysteriously no one knows of the names or the extention phone numbers i was given, when i spoke to BENNETS ..apparently all i accomplished by reporting the incident and instigating a claim , was to have my bike recovered by the RAC to my home address ,cos i'm covered under fully comp.???WTF. so now I have the obligatory forms to fill in [dont get me started on the STUPID questions they want answered], what IS IMPORTANT is i get the name and number of the coppers involved, as they have all the details /statements etc.from that poor german couple, who were unlucky enough to stop my sliding bike with their hire car.I know one of them [the tiny one] was a P.C Mcneil of grampian police, but without his number, there could be dozens of P.C Mcneils. sorry to go on you guys, but I'm a little agitated shall we say, I know claims can take an age to sort out. and if i cant get back on the road shortly[very] my job could be at risk, and all the following consequences dont bear thinking about.. thanks guys....DAVIE I've P.Md you my home phone.. Wink

Hi Tinbits, I'm sure you've found out already but as long as you have the time, date, location etc. of the incident Grampian Police should be able to assist you in tracking down the officers involved who should hapilly provide you with a statement. If they were from Grampian rather than YTayside division theres a good chance they came from some of the smaller stations close to Glenshee such as Ballater, Braemar etc.

Best of luck in tracking them down in the interim.
