It only took me a week of searching but I found those lost video clips. Rolling Eyes

I just realised we don't have a section on this forum for video clips. Could be useful as an aid to locating clips in the future Question Idea

Anyhow, just so you can see what all the fuss was about I've posted them for anyone who wants a peek. Cool

They have implications for the new slow speed handling tests to be introduced in the 2008 motorcycle test next year. Candidates have to pass this sort of handling tests before being allowed to proceed to the pursuit element of the test. Shocked

Come on...admit it. I bet you're all glad you've passed already. Laughing

It's annoying (Chameleon take note) that no rider training schools in Scotland offer slow speed maneouvering courses but they are VERY popular south of the border.

Perhaps we should organise an annual PBF slow speed maneouvering course Question

Now, I'm on the hunt for another clip I've lost. this one showed a bike side swerve a biker and force him off the road. Sad

If anyone has it sitting on their hard drive - please save me another week of torturous searching and be nice and post it....Please. Smile

When there is a commercial demand for a course of this nature , i will more than happily oblige -

I do remember a certain person getting "clutch /slow speed control " hammered into the by a certain instructor not that long ago Wink

I do feel that although this is an important skill - there are many others that must bet taught and practiced to keep sharp eg. cornering , braking , observation and planning to name a few.

We offer this but don't see many people trying to knock our door down to attend them - maby no one requires them Rolling Eyes or prefer the conventional way to learn to ride a bike - crash FIRST then if you survive then you must be OK at it !!

slow speed maneuvering course. Apparently this features on all their advanced riding training after the second observered run. Cool

Apparently this was the result of a CBT instructor who turned up to complete their advanced riding training and the observer (who had never been required to complete slow speed maneuvers as part of his original test) asked for a demonstration and decided it should be included in their version of their 'Skills for Life' training. Now taught to all their associates as part of their rider training. Cool
