I've had a chat with one of the motorcycle paramedics from Highland Division of the the Scottish Ambulance Service who is involved in running Bike-Aid (which is a part of the Bike-Safe campaign run in the Highlands). Smile

Seems it's a bit more involved that the Tayside presentation and Highland Division do include the 'Hat's Off' emergency helmet removal system as part of their training. Cool

Anyway, I'd be happy organise bringing him down to do an evenings presentation is anyone is interested in learning a little about basic emergency care within a group ride-out environment. Question

Thought it might make a good 'winter' lecture topic Question He'd also be happy to bring the bike so everyone can have a good look around it etc.

Feedback would be appreciated.

seems to me if he is willing to take time and show up and help
we should take the time to listen

you never know when someone will need help

I know I wouldnt be here today without ambulance and rescue services they sure helped me in my time of need

Costs will be minimal, I know Alan provides safety lectures etc. for groups already just to help keep the deauville on the road but I'm not sure what remit he's working to now with Bike-Aid so there will doubtlessly be political considerations relating to Bike-Safe but nothing that can't be worked out. Cool

Hopefully, we can find somewhere suitable for a venue but I'd be happy to organise if there's enough of an interest. Cool

I know that a lot of people commented that there wasn't enough input (due to time) on the Tayside Bike-Safe briefing I attended for the paramedics input.
