Post subject: any traillie riders out there?
Looking for info on traillie riding (green lanes etc) but can't seem to find much on any clubs around Perthshire/Fife/Central areas. Anyone know of any clubs or even know folk who are into it that I could contact???

Best bet is to associate yourself with regular traillie riders on here or DBF. Most of them know good long 'off road' routes but they are strictly unofficial. 'Green laning' is frowned upon in Scotland and it's still an offence to take a motorcycle off the road without the owners express permission as detailed under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.
I did read quite a good

the other day regarding this topic in Scotland written by an enduro rider which might be worth a look.
If you are after nice long enduro routes then, without permission, you take your chance. Check out some of the off-road websites - peeps such as cool carbon uses these a lot so it might be worth PMing him for further information.
If you are just looking for some excitement off road then some of the quad clubs might be worth a try. If you search through PBF you might some other references to off-road riding in Scotland.

Thanks for that information and useful article. I am looking for green-laning rather than moto cross and quads. Have spent lots of years on road bikes, everything from touring continent to little lane scratches, but want to ride in more remote and exciting places !!!
