Five cylinder radial engine - soooo smooth and light weight which is why they use them in light aircraft. Everything in its favour except . . . size. Hard to get all those pots in the right place and still be able to get your feet on the ground at traffic lights.

The following two images don't really belong in this post, but as you've mentioned the aircraft engine...

The first one is made by JRL Cycles, USA

and is a production bike, at circa $85.000.

The second bike is a one-off chop built by some bloke.

After finding the image of the 'Detonator', this aroused my curiosity and sent me off searching the Interweb to see what else was out there, I didn't expect it to go on for so long. Its been great searching for them, I've seen some incredible computer generated images in the search for motorbike ones, but alas, the images are starting to dry up.

Some of you may well be glad of this, I'm fairly new to posting on a forum and don't really know the etiquette. This new addition of images may well be my last, or last but one (depends if I find any more!). I do have another dozen or so in a file but most of them are similar to what's already been posted and I probably won't upload them.

During the 'quest', I've come across two other subjects which lend themselves to new threads. 'Bikes used in an art image' and 'Choppers and Lowriders' (have to be selective in the latter one but there are some wonderful real and conceptual examples out there).

If anyone is interested in either of these two subjects, let me know and I'll start them off with some images.

Here's some more bikes to look at.

Audi Concept Bike by Zoltan Sostai.

Asimma Concept Bike by Sabino Leerentveld, I do like this one though it might be just the colours.

The initial sketch by Daryl Tearne, then the computer simulation.

.........................

.........................

HR3-Minotaur

The following three are computer generated as are neary every other image in this thread. This hybrid concept runs on a gas / electric motor, and from what I can gather this part is currently available.

Jekyll And Hyde Motorcycle Concept by Todd Daniele.

I don't fancy being the passenger on this one.

..............................

The following five are from Paul Gerrard, a great artist with a wonderful imagination. I can't bring myself to crop and scale these to fit the page as too much detail would be lost. There is something about these monstrous sized bikes I find very appealing. You've already seen one of these, albeit smaller, near the start of this thread.

Honda Nas by Arthur Sacek.

Concept by Daniel Forsgren

..............................

This looks like an engineering nightmare, its never going to work.
Penta-bike by Vito Corleone.

This one's just silly. Concept by Martin Noer

More of a drag bike than anything else. Steel Bike by Björn Nilsson.

Tequila Sunrise

....................

suzuki styled

....................

The Bike by Stepan Grakov, its a monster, a bit Judge Dread like, surprisingly I've been unable to find a decent image of Dread's bike.

Denis Schusdziarra's idea of what Porsche would make, 'Porsche Booster'.

....................

Three more bikes by Tim Cameron, a great designer.

The first of the three is going into production.

VR-2.

...............

BMW.

...............

Camel Spider.

3D_Bike.

.........................................

A working concept by Swiss designer Franco Sbarro.

...............................

Two similar concepts by Vince Vitug.

Raider Gyro Moto

...............

The Skunk

Tesi by unknown.

Wo machine by Antonio Jesús Lara, similarish to the Kenada bike.

Borgossa

.........................

Love this image, and what a bike!

Goodluck by Jessada Sutthi

These last three are truly in the spirit of 'In a Galaxy far, far away'. As you are viewing these images, lucky boys and girls out there somewhere, are riding about on these bikes.

Jk-4000 Spider by Krystian Guevara.

My Bike by Rohan Dalvi.

..........

Motorcycle by Luigi Terzi.

can't remember his user name though. If you get a chance check it out, his artwork is stunning.

Sabino's bike is nice isn't it. I found these latest images last night, but as I said above new ones are getting thin on the ground. It all depends on the words / phrases used on Google and Google images. Someone else may use different terminology from me and come up with a whole batch of new stuff, but so far it looks like only one or two of us have bothered to try. I've yet to come across the Black Widow image, don't know where you found that.

I looked at a couple of other bike forums on this subject but their offerings were poor. Perhaps a more thorough trawl would produce something, anybody want to try?

Concept by Marchidan Adrian Mihai.

Victory Motorcycles 'Vision 800'.

'Blade' by Kevin Cunningham.

Cath In The Rain by Pala Gabriele.

...............

Two concepts by Yamaha.

Yamaha Maxim 3000, its an armchair on wheels, very scooterish though.

Yamaha Gen-Ryu.

Two Mono-wheel concepts. If you ever find me riding about on one of these...shoot me.

Mono cycle by Dane Mccray.

The Bombadier Embrio.

Yes, I'm not sure what's going on here either, the artist calls it a motorbike! I think those bits at the front and at the back are on hinges and have been moved to allow access to the engine, etc. I think.

Here it is again after I've cut it out. Clear as a bell now isn't it.

Here's the full sized image, you decide.

I love all these images! I registered with that forum but havent had a chance to browse yet as very busy! Looking forward to it though!

I have tried looking on google images too, but obviously wasn't putting in the right wording! Will try again when I get a minute!

I have several favourites in this latest batch...wouldn't fancy dropping Phantam by Woo Jung.... expensive business Confused

Super Charger is more my sort of bike...looks like it would take a few knocks!....great side stand...looks like it needs it!

1947 BOHN magazine advert showing future bike.

.............................................

Another of Suzuki's futuristic bikes shown at this years Tokyo Motorshow. It comes equipped with a fuel cell and lithium batteries. No petrol engine appears to be present. It looks like the hydrogen may be stored in the center of the frame, right where the two intersecting tubes of the frame come together. That would leave plenty of room in the area normally reserved for the petrol tank of a normal motorcycle for the batteries. Pretty, isn't it.
