checked the weather forecast and 70-80 mph winds north Scotland
so decided to leave early this morning to hopefully miss the worst of it as it headed south.
haaa how wrong was i, 80 miles north of Milton Keynes the wind was bad really bad and then came the rain
i`m now down to 55 mph getting blown all over the place.
now this really is unbelievable what happens next.
i deliver to a place in bonnybridge and they have one van yes ONE van
as the wind is trying its best to put me into the fastlane i see a van over take me and guess what, yepppppa its the E&O labs van and even more luck i see him(Bryan)pull in to diesel up
so i think to myself i`ll go and say hi and have a cupper with him. "what the f~@+ you doing down here" he says to me.. Laughing anyway 10 minutes later the bikes in the van and i`m starting to warm up a little.

i`m also starting to think maybe just maybe there is a god Evil or Very Mad

so i`m thinking maybe the next first round should be on me as well cuz god only knows what would of happened on the way home otherwise Razz

Your a brave man maddy. Certainly the weather for biking is coming to a close (or am I just a wimp!). Sad

No you ain't a wimp Netty !.
I had a run out to Dundee a few days ago, lovely clear day, but cold, man it was bad. Managable if you are bimpling around town, but once the speed gets up, its pretty bad. on the way back I had planned to go across to Cupar but thought better of it as my mind was not on the job and thats when accidents happen.
Today was down in Edinburgh (in the car thankfully) but it was only about 6 degs, but with that wind chill who knows.
Anyway this should be in the whinging section!!.
I ain't fully given up on the indian summer !.
who knows, might be nice on Sunday.

Take care
John

I've got to admit, I take my hat off to bike instructors and dispatch riders as we drift itno winter. These guys seem to be out in all but the absolutely worse of the weather - even at times when you won't see a Police bike for months, these guys are still out there grim faced, in the midst of it!
