I will be votingfor toseland, ainly because the favourie (hamilton) had the best car(with fereries help) and as much help as he could get, so he's not really eligabe in my book, so toseland is my choice.

what about Motorcyclenews report, that Schumacher rode Casey Stoner's Ducati at Valencia and put in a time just over 5 seconds off of Pedrosa's race lap record.

That is majorly incredible. It's huge. I had no idea he was a good bike rider, but even then, to be 5 seconds off of the race lap record is astonishing for anyone who isn't a top level Superbike or other top motorcycle series rider. I doubt a lot of riders riding in national Superbike series, or even WSB for that matter could do it.

How much practice could he have had? Even doing a lot of track days on some street bike might not be enough to prepare one for that kind of speed on a MotoGP bike. He probably really is that good.
And now there's rumors that he's going to take an F1 drive next year so maybe we won't see him on a MotoGP bike

ive never been keen on him but hey you have to admire him on track, whether F1 or bike

There's been a lot of talk about this in magazines and the internet and while not doubting it, I've heard he was anything between 3 and 5 secs off the pace. Remember Rossi did well in the Ferrari too. It's all to do with the brain being able to cope with the speed and process imformation accordingly. Colin Mcrae (God rest him) was also very quick on a bike and many riders within the BSB paddock thought he could've competed at least at national level in a bike. So yes it's impressive but personally I'm not getting excited about it.

JT was only about 500 votes of 3rd place so he's done well considering the lack of coverage WSB gets.

yep, saw a few articles each way on that, but I still think not "anyone" could hop on one and go 5 seconds slower. Maybe it's because Schumacher is already so experienced with electronics governing what a vehicle can do?

He was 5 seconds off after a handfull of laps, the first time he was ever on the bike. It's not a stretch to say he could probably cut that in half after a day or two of testing.

For someone who doesn't race bikes, it's pretty good,
but then, lets see him fly offshore, strip down a RB211 turbine engine and rebuild haha
