How do I know...well I had the idea to do this and then found some smarty pants student was doing it for a research project.

How does it work...
1. Get a phone as above..... the nokia N95 works and I have one!
2. Load software from

3. Register
4. Run it
5. It warns you of speed cameras...and you confirm the speed camera is there by pressing a button if you want...the more confirmations the more accurate the system is.
6. Also gives you true speed, direction etc.

Used it driving to edi and worked like a charm

Basically....if enough people join the collaborative network....the first guy that spots a white van camera logs its position and then its available to al other users instantly.....its a cas of more people join the network the more accurate it becomes.

It is pretty cool really but relies on people joining in!

My speedo reads about 5mph out...i.e. 75 on speedo =70 on bike.....
