There is a fuel protest being organised at the moment with as many bike clubs/forums as possible.
At the moment people are organising with, Fifebikers, Dundee bikers, saints & sinners, Carnoustie bikers, Aberdeen bikers, and any other bikers or clubs in scotland that we can.
This protest will be going ahead on saturday 28th june.
The planning is only at the early stage, but i think a ride down the dueler for the Aberdeen lot to meet up with the dundee bikers, then onto Fife to join the fifebikers, from there we cross the forth bridge and straight to the scottish parliament.
It'll take a bit of planning and timing, hopefully the perth bikers and anyone else will join up as we progress.

We need to stand up and be counted on this, make our voices heard, the goverment has to realise that the people are sick and tired of being taxed to the limit.

good call something needs to be done and said about the price of fuel i do think the end of the month is probally too soon. If in my opinion and it is only my opinion it needs a bit more on a few bikers running down to the big smoke. you would need to involve every car, lorry, tractor, jcb and ride on mower driver in the country. for this ignorant government to listen. don't get me wrong i'm in but i would be very interested in how many people would down tools for one day to make a difference. keep me posted on whats going on i personally think a better job would be made if we all turned up in coaches in full leathers as we would be putting less money in there pockets. stay lucky.

dont know how this is goin to pan out.lots of issiues goin on about fuel right now.ive got a diesle kango, an anybody wanting to give me,or sell me used chip fat oil may contact me.as for the bike, well im afraid it requires unledded benzine.heard a lot o people lately talkin bout hydrogen
as an alternative.please get this straight, hydrogen is not an alternative
fuel,it is mearly a storage medeum.there are no huge untaped resources
of hydrogen wating to be discovered.it can be made yes,but at a cost,an quite a heavy cost.it can be made from water for instance but it requires
huge amounts of energy to make it.generaly when you,v made it you can
iether burn it as in combustion egines,or combine it with oxygen in a
catalitic converter or battery type .

Cheers maddog, hopefully we can get as many people on this as possible, this is one more group of road users showing the powers that be, that we are not happy with them.

Superb to see that the biker communicty (and the UK generally) have finally got some backbone to stand up against this daylight robbery. Unfirtunately, Gordon Brown has two very unpopular wars to finance so hiked up taxation is something we're all going to have to get used to. Sad

I don't want to sound like Fox Mulder here but the history of alternative energy is a very interesting one indeed and it's rumoured amongst consipiracy theorists that gyroscopic power and other forms of alternative energies were succesfully pioneered during the 2nd world war. In fact, the IG Faben factory based at Auswitz III (Monowitz) was succesfully synthesising fuel for the German war effort (using slave labor) from rubber rather than crude oil. There's also been a number of high profile alternative energy scientists died in mysterious circumstances over the last few decades.

Conspiracy theorists believe the western governments have known about viable alternative energy sources for years but have suppressed this knowledge because of the impact on an oil based economy (oil is traded in dollars).

OK, OK so I do sound like Fox Mulder! Rolling Eyes
